8 feet-tall gold-plated marble throne for Ram Lalla idol | India News

AYODHYA: The Ram temple in Ayodhya will have an eight-foot-tall gold-plated marble throne where Ram Lalla‘s idol will be placed. The marble throne is being made by artisans in Rajasthan and will reach Ayodhya by December 15. The throne will be placed in the sanctum sanctorum of the Ram temple, said Anil Mishra, member of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust.
“The throne to be kept in the sanctum sanctorum of Ram Mandir will be eight feet high, three feet long and four feet wide,” he said.
Mishra said that Ram devotees have also donated a large quantity of gold and silver items. These gold and silver items, coins and bricks donated before and after the formation of the Trust will be melted down. “A lot of problems are being faced in keeping the donated items safe. They will be kept safe by melting them into a solid block. This work will be done under the guidance of a reputed organization,” said Mishra.
