Bhosari election result 2024: BJP's Mahesh (Dada) Kisan Landge inches towards victory
NEW DELHI: Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Mahesh Landge took a lead against NCP (SP)’s Ajit Damodar Gavhane in Bhosari assembly constituency of Maharashtra. After 16 rounds of vote counting, Landge is leading by over 5,000 votes.
As of the latest election commission data, the BJP-led Mahayuti is on track to retain power in Maharashtra, leading in 217 of the 288 assembly seats.The opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) is struggling, with its candidates leading in just 50 seats.

In the 2019 Assembly elections Landge defeated NCP’s candidate after receivin 1,32,415 votes. The NCP candidate followed with 98,341 votes.
During the 2014 Assembly election, Mahesh Landge also contested on a BJP ticket and won with 1,09,356 votes, or 48.8% of the total, over the NCP candidate, who garnered 91,287 votes (40.8%).
The 2011 Census shows a significant SC population in Bhosari, comprising 12.5% of the total voters. The ST voter representation is relatively low, at about 4.2%.
