NEW DELHI: Batting legend Sachin Tendulkar hailed England bowler Stuart Broad after he played his last Test match in international cricket at The Oval against Australia on Monday.
Broad enjoyed a fairytale finish as England beat Australia by 49 runs to win the fifth Test at The Oval on Monday and end the Ashes series all square at 2-2.
Australia were on the brink of defeat at 329-9.
Broad then had Alex Carey edging behind only for Crawley to drop a tough low chance at second slip before the 37-year-old rounded things off by having the wicketkeeper caught behind.
Broad finished his career with 604 wickets in Test cricket – the fifth highest in the most Test wickets tally after Muttiah Muralitharan (800), Shane Warne (708), James Anderson (690) and Anil Kumble (619).
