PATNA: People have reacted bitterly on social media on Saturday after a video clip went viral showing an ambulance carrying a sick child stopped for about an hour to let Bihar CM Nitish Kumar’s carcade pass on Friday.
Reports said the ambulance carrying the sick child was on its way to Patna to seek medical attention when it was stopped by policemen on duty on the Fatuha-Daniawan NH near a railway overbridge to let the CM’s motorcade pass the road. The CM was returning to Patna after inaugurating an ethanol plant in Nalanda.
The video clip shows a restless woman holding her sick baby in her arms inside the ambulance coming from Fatuha. “The child is unwell and we have to admit him to a hospital. But the traffic has been closed,” said another woman sitting beside the patient’s mother.
