PUNE: Maharashtra anti-terrorism squad (ATS) officials on Sunday confirmed that they have seized, among other things, a drone, images of Chabad House and Colaba area in Mumbai, and some locations in Pune, besides 500GB data from the phones and a pen drive of the two members of the ISIS-inspired Sufa group, who were arrested in the city on July 18 .

Earlier, the city police, who made the arrests before the ATS took over the probe, had only confirmed recovery of parts of the drone during a search at the duo’s rented flat at Meethanagar in Kondhwa. The data from the phones and the pen drive is being thoroughly examined, the officials said. They have recovered books, videos of a particular individual and PDF files, which are suspected to be meant for indoctrination of people, they added.
“These images were downloaded by the arrested duo – Mohammed Imran Mohammed Yusuf Khan alias Abdul Hamid Khan (23) and Mohammed Yunus Mohammed Yakud Saki (24) They were planning to use drones for videography…,” ATS superintendent of police Jayant Meena said.
